Next Generation of Pastoral Leaders

Young adults in their twenties and thirties are increasingly found in pastoral leadership positions. Young adults are a vital part of faith communities and as they move into leadership positions, anticipate being mentored by seasoned leaders.

An extensive survey of Catholic young adults is being conducted for the project by Dr. Dean Hoge of the Catholic University of America.  Dr. Hoge has conducted extensive research, including a partnership in the recently published Amercian Catholics Today.

An online survey was conducted.  Respondents include Catholic students from twenty randomly chosen colleges and universties, and from fourteen randomly chosen dioceses.  The survey portion of the study has just been completed with a total of 1300 respondents.  Results will be studied and early findings will be published as soon as possible.
